Lan has her Bachelor of Arts in Architecture from the University of North Carolina in Charlotte and her Masters of Fine Arts in Interior Architecture from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. She worked as an architectural designer for 4 years in Oak Park, IL for an architecture firm specializing in restaurants and hospitality. After moving abroad to Japan, she was hired by a restaurant firm as an in-house designer tasked with renovating existing restaurants and designing & fitting out new ones. One of her last major projects was project managing the fit-out of a 450 seat restaurant in the City of Dreams complex in Macao, China. Most recently she has worked for Lowe’s Home Improvement in Melbourne, FL as an interior project specialist, designing and renovating kitchens and bathrooms for residential clients.
